Lehenga
choli is the most preferred wedding attire among most Indian brides.
Traditionally, the Lehenga choli is divided into three parts i.e., the Lehenga
or the ghagra, the choli and the odhni or the dupattas. The Lehenga is a skirt
which is ankle length, the choli is a tight fitted blouse which often bares the
midriff and the dupattas is an unstitched piece of cloth that looks like a
veil. The colours, the work pattern, the style of the three parts of the attire
has to be synchronize and compliment with each other because then only this
particular bridal wear or the perfect lehenga can create the actual alluring
effect Lehenga
Cholis or Ghagra Cholis.
Although the choli bares the
midriff, it can also be custom made to different lengths and sizes. Choli that
are too long looks quite unflattering, so it is best to get cholis which is not
more than the hip length or the waist length.
Lehenga cholis comes in various
fabric, work patterns and colour combinations. Green and pink, green and red,
blue and green, blue and pink, green and golden yellow, etc are few colour
combinations which are liked by most women.
Most of the Lehenga cholis are
designed with more effort and time to produce a gorgeous appearance to adorn
the beauty of the women wearing it. They have been many variations done to the
traditional Lehenga choli. With the introduction of sequins, thread work,
embroidery work etc many creative work patterns have created an impact on the
outfit.
